Bulbs

Written with help by Hannah Yorke Gambhir

The leaves are changing colour and the air has a crisp chill

Time to dig up the garden and give it a good till

Time to plant some bulbs in the rich garden soil

And in the spring you will see the reward to your toil

The bulbs will sleep dormant all winter long

And in the spring they will sing an earthly spring song

You will have tulips and narcissus and crocus to delight

Your garden will be awash with yellow, red, purple and white

So go put on your gardening gloves and get ready to sow

And watch in the spring to see what will grow!
