Santa Lost His Presents
Written by Hannah Yorke Gambhir (then age 6)
On Christmas night no one made a sound except Santa. He was delivering the presents. Jingle, jingle, jingle went the bell’s on Santa’s sleigh. BUT there was a BIG hole in his bag and all the presents fell out all over the forest!!!
The animals caught the presents and opened them. Most of the presents were skates. The animals tried on the skates and started to skate on the ice. The animals twirled from one end of the pond to the other end. One of the bears said, “I have never had this much fun in my entire life!”
Then Santa noticed that there was a BIG hole in his bag. Santa looked down from his sleigh. Santa saw that his presents had fallen out. Santa dove down to get his presents. The only problem was that he could not do it. Santa was too nice to take them away from the animals.
Santa had no presents to give to all the good children. Santa did not even have one present, he thought. The elves had worked so hard. BUT he was wrong. There was ONE magic present that the elves had put in his bag and it made all of the presents appear that the children had asked for.
Santa took his sack to Mrs. Claus so that she could patch it up. Santa never had a hole in his bag again.
