Santa Needs Glasses!
Chapter One: Santa Has an Accident (Again)
Santa groaned as he picked himself up off the floor. He had been having many accidents lately, but none as bad as this one.
“Who left my desk right where I could trip over it?” Santa inquired.
“You did, Sir,” replied his Chief Elf. “You moved it there yesterday.”
“Oh, so I did,” acknowledged Santa. “I guess that I didn’t look where I was going!”
Chapter Two: Santa Makes His List
Santa sat down at his desk to look at his naughty and nice list. “Hmmm,” he thought, “these boys and girls have been very good. Just look at this list of names:
Arnold, Audrey, Bernice, Christopher, Connor, Denise, Emily, Grover, Hannah, Jordan
Kevin, Larry, Madeleine, Matthew, Nancy, Peter, Robbie, Sarah, Tracy and Wendy
Santa stared to read the letters that the children had sent to him.

Chapter Three: Christmas Morning
Arnold was really happy when he saw his present from Santa. Instead of getting some new socks, he got a box of cool looking rocks!
Audrey woke up extra early on Christmas morning. She tiptoed downstairs and found a fuzzy hat waiting for her under the tree! Audrey put it on and smiled.
Bernice danced into the room that her family had decorated for Christmas. “Oh my,” she said out loud, “Santa brought me a ball that bounces! What fun!”
Christopher‘s mother screamed when she walked into the living room and saw a Jersey Cow munching on their tree. “Christopher,” she called, “what did you write in your letter to Santa!”
“That’s strange,” thought Connor as he looked at the stockings. “I don’t see one with my name written on it. I see one for George, though! Who is George?”
Grover ripped the wrapping paper off of all of his presents. He had gotten lots of nice things – and a frying pan. Now why would he get a frying pan?
Emily was startled when she found some cheese, yogurt and milk under her tree. “That is strange,” she said. “I asked for a diary and instead I get dairy!”
Denise looked under her tree for her down coat. She could not find her present from Santa. Just as she was going to ask her mom, Denise heard a noise from the backyard. She looked out the window and saw a brown goat!
Hannah was excited about becoming a magician. She was surprised, then, when she found a piano under the tree. “Oh well,” she said, “I guess I will become a musician instead of a magician.”
Jordan looked at the garden hose and figured it was a gift for her dad. Surely it was not for her… And yet, it was on the table where she had left Santa’s milk and cookies.
Kevin was very puzzled when he found a big puddle, instead of a big puzzle, on the floor!
Instead of finding cars, Larry found a pack of cards. “We can still play together,” he told his brother. “Want to play Go Fish?!”
Madeleine’s mom was really happy when she saw Madeleine’s gift from Santa. “Look, Madeleine, Santa brought you a broom for your new room!”
Matthew hurried over to the Christmas tree. He wondered if he would get a Sponge Bob movie or a Sponge Bob book or a Sponge Bob toy. Was he ever confused when he found a spongy bib! “Mom,” Matthew hollered, “look what Santa left for me!”
Nancy couldn’t wait to try on her new tan boots with her favourite skirt. “I will write back to Santa to thank him for my… tin of beets!” Nancy shrieked.
“Griing, grrring!” Peter was startled by a strange ringing in his ear. He was surprised to see a phone in his room – especially one that looked like a Brontosaurus.
Robbie raced down the stairs to see what Santa had left for him. He reached into his stocking and pulled out a stuffed giraffe – and boy did he ever laugh.
Sarah jumped up and down when she saw her gift from Santa – but not as high as her gift jumped! Sarah spent the morning chasing after her new pet frog.
“I Spy my Christmas present,” shouted Tracy. “I got a Berry Cook Book! Mom, when can we bake something….”
When Wendy looked under the tree she was surprised to find a package of red hooks. “I don’t think that Santa could read my note about reading,” she thought.
Chapter Four: Santa Gets Glasses
Wendy was right. Santa could not read her note. But it wasn’t until Mrs. Claus opened her present that Santa realized that he had made a BIG mistake.
Mrs. Claus unwrapped a bun in a pan and laughed. “Oh Claus,” she said, “I had asked you for a bundt pan – not a bun in a pan!”
Santa Claus went to see the eye doctor and he got a pair of glasses. From then on Santa always wore his glasses to read his letters.
